Cupping therapy can be a highly effective way to treat the fascial system for tension, pain, and other issues. In many cases, problems in the fascia cause problems in other areas of the body. If you think of the fascia like a spiders web or a sweater with interwoven threads that connect with each other, you can imagine that pulling one thread tight will affect other areas of the sweater. Dry Cupping, the cups are placed on several areas to create suction that lifts the soft tissue and creates and upward stretch within the muscle and fascia. The cups can be used in stillness or with gentle movement to increase blood flow, reduce tightness & tension and promote cell repair. Cupping can be done as a stand alone treatment or alongside a sports massage.
